Long Endurance Smart Drone
KLY Technology @ MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund Program
09/2015-present
Drone is a rising market with huge opportunities. But one of the biggest pains of current drones is that they cannot fly for long time and long distance, which limits their applications.
So we founded KLY Technology, where we are trying to make long endurance smart drones that can be used to do monitoring, delivery and more interesting things. We hope in the future, drones can be friends of everyone and make our life more convenient.
The approach we are trying to increase the endurance is through two ways. One is we are proposing an innovative mechanical design of the drone to make it more efficient in flying. The other is we are exploring alternative energy sources to give more power given the same weight.
Right now we are designing the mechanical prototype of the drone, while getting familiar with the flight control algorithms and modifying them.
More stories to come and keep an eye on us!
