A 100% winning Janken laser light hand based on galvanometer mirrors
Final project for 2.171 Digital Control Systems @ MIT
11/2015-12/2015

-
Measured the plant dynamics and fit the bode plot with a second-order system
-
Designed a discrete-time lead, lag and proportional controller which has a crossover frequency of 200Hz and a PM of 60 degrees
-
Implemented the controller with Labview, NI myRIO, power amplifier and a circuit
-
Used Matlab to generate trajectories for rock, paper and scissor patterns by image processing of real hand gestures photos
-
Used Matlab to continuously read the video streaming frames from a webcam, recognized human gestures by image processing and normalized standard cross-correlation with template pictures
-
Sent data from Matlab to NI myRIO via TCP/IP by enabling WiFi in myRIO
